If you want to vote for me, Click here and vote away! I think you might need to login, but its worth it--we need to represent, brides!

*** Interview Two Experts for Summer Tips for the Wedding Season -- in a Blogger Telephone News Conference****

Dear Erica,
Please forgive me for posting here but I was unable to find an email for you and I didn’t want you to miss this opportunity. This is an invitation to join a select group of wedding bloggers in a telephone interview with two leading experts in ensuring the health and well-being of brides, grooms and wedding guests, especially in the summer. It would be a perfect podcast.
As you know, summer is a big time for weddings – and wedding blogs. Among the catering, flowers and musicians, brides, grooms and wedding planners also need to plan for the comfort and health of their guests (and themselves) – whether ceremonies take place outside or in. That’s why Revolution Health has selected ten tips for ensuring healthy, comfortable guests and calm, well-rested brides and grooms.
To discuss these tips and how to implement them, this carefully-selected group of bloggers will interview Revolution’s Senior Medical Director Val Jones, MD, who created the “ten tips” and Dr. Charles Foster, Research Director of the Chestnut Hill Institute.
As Senior Medical Director Val deals with health issues across the broad spectrum that is Revolution Health – and puts special emphasis on prevention. Val spent several years in the 90s as a minister before going into medicine, so she’s been around a few weddings herself! She also draws her experience from her own wedding, almost precisely two years ago.
Dr. Foster has thirty years clinical experience working with couples, families, and individuals. Internationally known for his work with couples in transition, he has consulted with organizations in Holland helping traumatized refugee families seeking asylum and has worked for the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts to train priests in how best to prepare couples for marriage, to take just a couple of examples. He has also researched and co-authored six books on relationships.
Bridalicioius was of particular interest because of its tone, content and great photos. (I’ve always wanted to go to Positano and Capri and after seeing your pix I’ve decided I will get there or hide our suitcases.) It’s clear that your questions will reflect things that are important to grooms, brides, wedding parents and planners and all those who hope to take on one of those roles in the future, so we hope you’ll come along.
This news conference is sponsored by Revolution Health (http://www.revolutionhealth.com), the new health resource website founded by Steve Case, partly because of the difficulties he and his family faced during his brother’s battle with brain cancer. He wants to make it a bit easier for those who follow by providing tools to support both patient and family. I’m working with them to support the work of bloggers who follow health issues. One way we’re doing that is by conducting these topical briefings, just for the blogger universe. Revolution wants to highlight its ability to aggregate and share critical information on health issues by providing new information and contact with health leaders in relevant disease communities.
One great asset of the site is its population of experts, including those on parenting and pregnancy, drawn from major academic institutions across the country, including Columbia, Harvard, Cleveland Clinic, the University of California at San Francisco, the University of Southern California, Johns Hopkins, Memorial Sloan Kettering, MD Anderson, and more. We invited one of those experts in psychology and pre-marital counseling, along with Val, to participate in a conference call/news conference to answer blogger questions. We’d like you to join us. The call is informational; you are under no obligation to write about the conversation unless you find it useful.
Here are the details:
WHAT: Conference call/Q&A with two experts in health and well-being considerations when planning events
WHEN: Wednesday, June 6 from 7-8 pm EDT (4-5 PDT)
WHERE: Conference Call – number to be provided
WHY: To answer questions on making sure wedding participants and guests remain comfortable, healthy and relaxed.
We will also provide audio after the conference if you would like to post a link to that as well.
Please RSVP, either by email or telephone (see below) when you know if this is an opportunity that interests you.
With best wishes,

Cynthia Samuels for Revolution Health

Hi there!

I saw that you keep up to date on new wedding trends and give tips to your readers, so I thought you’d like to take a look at a helpful new product. It’s a tool which gives brides an easy way to share wedding photos or videos with friends and family on any website. They can also use it to organize their plans with a wedding consultant, catering, florists, or other wedding vendors. I thought you might want to try it out, or write about it.

You can try it out here: http://boxstatic.com/wedding.html

Thanks!

I am writing to propose a link trade. I currently have over 300 pages and would place a link to your site from all of them, in exchange for a place on your blogroll.
